Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my Executive Health physical take?

Most Executive Health physicals begin at 8 a.m. and are complete by 3 p.m.  Your specific physical may be longer if you add services.

Can I use my insurance for the Executive Health program?

No. The National Jewish Health Executive Health program is a fee-for-service program. Individuals and corporations pay for the program in full before services are rendered. We do not bill health insurance or managed care plans.

How much does an Executive Health physical cost?

Because the physical exam and tests are customized to your wellness goals, costs vary. You will receive a price quote prior to your appointment.

How do I pay for the Executive Health program?

You may pay by credit card, check, ACH payment or through a corporate contract with your employer or company.

What if I have to reschedule or cancel my visit?

If you need to reschedule an executive physical, please notify the Executive Health program team at least 7 business days before your scheduled visit.

Terms of cancellation without rescheduling are outlined in your Patient Agreement. In general, executive physicals that are cancelled more than 30 days in advance will be refunded in full.

What do I wear to my physical?

The Executive Health team will let you know if specific clothing or shoes are needed for your scheduled tests. In general, we recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and athletic shoes.

Can I eat before my physical?

Please do not eat or drink anything except water for at least 8 hours before your visit. A breakfast of your choice will be provided once all fasting-related tests are completed.

Can the doctor who performs my Executive Health physical become my primary care physician?

Continued care with the physician who performs your executive physical is available by joining the National Jewish Health Concierge Medicine program. Concierge Medicine is a membership-based program that offers highly personalized primary care services.

Are the results of my Executive Health physical and testing kept confidential?

Yes. Your medical information is confidential, and it will never be shared with anyone without your permission. You will receive a personalized health report that has a summary of your results that you can share with your primary care physician or other specialists. We also will send a copy of your results to your primary care physician or other specialists upon your written request. If your executive physical was sponsored by your employer, they will receive notice that tests were completed, but will not receive the results.
