Slater Traaen has a dynamic career in institutional asset management. He currently oversees Mitsui Fudosan America's New York portfolio. His vision and leadership are redefining the future of New York City's commercial real estate landscape, including the transformative repositioning of 1251 Avenue of the Americas.

As the son of a Naval officer, Slater's deep-rooted commitment to service has been a guiding principle throughout his life. His dedication is exemplified by his active involvement with organizations like the New York AIR Society, Haymakers for Hope and Big Brothers Big Sisters, where he channels his passion for giving back to foster meaningful impact within his community.

Slater relocated to New York in the early 2000s after graduating from the University of San Diego. A former collegiate basketball player, Slater maintains his competitive edge by participating in local leagues across the city and remains a passionate supporter of the Knicks. He also enjoys immersing himself in the city’s rich cultural scene, frequently visiting museums and galleries with his wife, Jayme, and their daughter, Wilhelmina.
