Understanding Patient Outcomes In PH-ILD

Search Clinical Trials

Trial Objectives

Pulmonary hypertension can be caused by fibrosis, or scarring, in the lungs, as a result of chronic lung diseases like interstitial lung disease. The condition is called pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease, or PH-ILD. Researchers are trying to better understand how this disease progresses and how people respond to treatment. Volunteers in this research study will be followed for up to five years to help provide better information on how the disease progresses over time, to improve future care and treatments.

In this study, volunteers will have clinic visits every 6 months where they receive physical exams, exercise testing, lung function testing, and imaging including echocardiograms and CT scans. Data will be collected at each visit and monitored over time for changes in symptoms or treatment.

Who Can Participate

Adults 18 and older with a diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD) or diagnosis of ILD and are being monitored for possible development of pulmonary hypertension. Enrollment is by invitation only.
