Pulmonologist Dr. Vamsi Guntur Joins National Jewish Health

Vamsi GunturVamsi Guntur, MD, MSc, has joined the nationally renowned faculty at National Jewish Health in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. She comes to National Jewish Health from the University of Missouri where she was on the faculty for more than 11 years, and served as the Director of Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services and Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine. Dr. Guntur specializes in treatment of patients with severe asthma and other pulmonary diseases. She will see patients on the National Jewish Health Main Campus and will conduct clinical and translational research as a part of the Cohen Family Asthma Institute where clinicians and researchers are working to address an emerging gap in severe asthma care, research and education.

Dr. Guntur received her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, WI. She completed her Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Missouri, and her Internal Medicine Residency at Norwalk Hospital/Yale University. Additionally, Dr. Guntur has participated in research projects and co-authored numerous publications.
