Dr. Chafen W. Hart Joins National Jewish Health Pediatric Sleep Medicine Team


DENVER, CO —

Dr Chafen Hart bio imageChafen W. Hart, MD, has joined the National Jewish Health for Kids team as a pediatric sleep medicine physician in the Department of Pediatrics. Her areas of interest and research include all sleep breathing disorders, circadian rhythm disorders, insomnia, hypersomnolence, parasomnias and sleep movement disorders. Dr. Hart has a special interest in diagnosing, treating and managing sleep issues for children who are on the autism spectrum (neurodivergent), children with ADHD and adolescents with insomnia. She also will help transition pediatric sleep medicine patients who need continuing care as adults. Dr. Hart sees patients on the National Jewish Health main campus in Denver.

Dr. Hart completed her sleep medicine fellowship at National Jewish Health and the University of Colorado, which included training at National Jewish Health, the Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Children’s Hospital Colorado and the University of Colorado Denver.

Dr. Hart moved to Denver from Dallas, Texas, where she was in private practice for 11 years. She received her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Tufts Medical Center, in Boston.
