"Wendy Siegel has made National Jewish Health and A Winter’s Evening a priority, and we are humbled and grateful,” noted Michael Salem, MD, CEO and president of National Jewish Health.

As a driving force behind ‘A Winter’s Evening’ for the last three decades, Wendy Siegel has envisioned and produced magnificent and iconic benefit galas, honoring deserving individuals in the New York real estate and construction industries. Through this annual event alone, she has helped raise more than $57 million for life-changing care and research. Since 2000, Wendy and her husband Stephen B. Siegel, have served on the National Jewish Health Council of National Trustees. They have been Council co-chairs since 2006, overseeing a team of more than 275 elected Trustees from across the country who serve as ambassadors and advocates for the hospital.

Larry Silverstein, chairman of Silverstein Properties, Inc., treasurer of the National Jewish Health Board of Directors and honorary chair of the event, introduced Wendy Siegel and helped to lead the event’s program.

"Thirty years ago, Wendy generously offered to be the executive chair of ‘A Winter’s Evening,” remarked Silverstein. “She has taken this event to new heights, as it has become one of the most enduring and successful events for our industry and for National Jewish Health."

Stephen Siegel, who served as one of the event’s dinner chairs, presented her with the Humanitarian Award. He also welcomed Peter Riguardi, of JLL who was inducted as a Trustee. Riguardi was honored at the event in 2023.
