Dr. Ivana Ilic Joins the National Jewish Health Rheumatology Team
DENVER - Ivana Ilic, MD, has joined National Jewish Health as a rheumatologist specializing in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, including vasculitis, myositis and connective tissue disease-associated interstitial lung disease. She provides comprehensive care for patients with complex rheumatologic and autoimmune disorders and sees patients at the National Jewish Health main campus in Denver.Dr. Ilic completed her rheumatology fellowship at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in Manhasset, New York, where she also served as chief fellow. She previously completed her internal medicine residency and served as chief resident at Northwell Health NS/LIJ.
Her clinical and research interests include inflammatory myopathies, vasculitis and interstitial lung disease. Dr. Ilic has authored and co-authored publications in the Journal of Clinical Rheumatology and presented multiple abstracts at the American College of Rheumatology annual meetings. Her ongoing research focuses on novel imaging and biologic therapies for refractory autoimmune disease.
Dr. Ilic is active in professional societies, including the American College of Rheumatology and Association of Women in Rheumatology, and has received numerous honors, including the Chief Resident of the Year Award and the Women in Medicine Award from Northwell Health.
Dr. Ilic earned her Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and graduated with Distinction in the Major in History of Science and Medicine from Yale University.
