Glen J. Weiss of Vornado Realty Trust Honored at the 57th Annual “A Winter’s Evening Dinner” Dance
DENVER - The 57th annual National Jewish Health “A Winter’s Evening” dinner dance was held Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Chelsea Piers in New York City. More than 600 guests attended the Moroccan-inspired event, celebrating the New York real estate and construction industries. The gala raised more than $2 million to establish The Staci & Glen Weiss Fund to Safeguard Critical Pediatric Research at National Jewish Health, the leading respiratory hospital in the nation.Glen J. Weiss, executive vice president of Office Leasing and co-head of real estate at Vornado Realty Trust, was honored with the 2025 National Jewish Health Humanitarian Award. The award is given to individuals nationwide who have made significant civic andcharitable contributions to their communities, their professions and National Jewish Health.
“It is with immense pride and deep gratitude that I celebrate with you the mission and legacy of National Jewish Health,” Weiss shared with gala attendees as he accepted his award. “For more than 125 years, they have stood at the very forefront of care, research and hope — driven by an important thing — promise. Every person, no matter where they come from, has access to care and the opportunity they deserve,” he added.
Through this annual event, the hospital has raised more than $72 million over the years, to support life-changing care and research. For the 31st consecutive year, Wendy M. Siegel served as executive chair of the event, continuing the tradition of surprising guests with a creative, often dramatic theme upon arrival. Siegel and her husband Stephen B. Siegel have been members of the National Jewish Health Council of National Trustees for many years. They have been Council co-chairs since 2006, overseeing a team of more than 275 elected trustees from across the country who serve as ambassadors and advocates for the hospital.
Larry Silverstein, chairman of Silverstein Properties, Inc. and treasurer of the National Jewish Health Board of Directors, was honorary chair and helped to lead the event’s program.
