Dr. Joshua Nardin Joins the National Jewish Health Neurology Team



DENVER - Joshua A. Nardin, DO, has joined National Jewish Health as a neurologist specializing in neuromuscular disorders and electrodiagnostic medicine. He provides comprehensive care for patients with conditions affecting nerves and muscles, including neuropathies, myopathies, myasthenia gravis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other complex neuromuscular diseases. Dr. Nardin sees patients at the National Jewish Health main campus in Denver.

Dr. Nardin completed his neurology residency and fellowship in neuromuscular medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and management of neuromuscular conditions, with advanced training in electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction studies and neuromuscular ultrasound.

Before pursuing his medical degree, Dr. Nardin spent several years as an environmental scientist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Research Triangle Park, where he contributed to remediation and decontamination projects and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed studies on hazardous materials and contamination control. His unique background in chemistry, research methodology and clinical medicine supports a multispecialty approach to patient care and translational research.

Dr. Nardin has authored and co-authored multiple scientific papers published in journals including the Journal of Clinical Neuromuscular Disease, and Global Epidemiology. His ongoing research includes studies on neuromuscular disease diagnostics and Guillain-Barré syndrome data modeling.

He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in North Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
