Lowerre Mycobacterial Fellowship
Thanks to the foresight and generous support of the Lowerre family, we are able to offer training in mycobacterial research. This fellowship is targeted to individuals who are interested in specializing in the care and research of mycobacterial infections.

Infectious Disease Rotating Fellowship
The Division of Mycobacterial and Respiratory Infections hosts a visiting fellow each month. Funding for this program is provided by Scott and Susan Fleischner Kornspan and Larry and Judith Freeman in honor of Dr. Charles Daley and the groundbreaking work that he has led at National Jewish Health for decades.
These fellows work closely with the Division’s faculty and staff, managing patients in the Extended Outpatient Program. This experience offers a unique opportunity for both pulmonary and infectious disease fellows. Each fellow also participates in a half-day clinic per week during the rotation. There is no call requirement and weekends are off, allowing fellows time to enjoy Denver and the surrounding Rockies.
The primary objective of this rotation is to provide fellows with focused training in the evaluation and treatment of patients with bronchiectasis, nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) diseases, and tuberculosis. Fellows also develop key competencies in patient care, medical knowledge, communication skills, practice-based learning, professionalism, and systems-based practice.
Interested individuals should contact Rebecca Leyva Hernandez at 303.398.1667 or LeyvaHernandezR@NJHealth.org.
