WHY: Kunsberg School provides a safe, friendly and healthy school environment for children with chronic illnesses, including severe asthma and allergies, sickle cell anemia, diabetes, HIV, AIDS, and other respiratory, cardiac, immune and related disorders. The students, many of whom have fallen behind their peers in school, receive care and learn to manage their illnesses from three nurses and National Jewish Health pediatricians. They benefit from small classes led by teachers with advanced degrees who use the latest educational technology tools.

Funds raised at the National Jewish Health Kunsberg Classic will go directly to the school, which is mostly supported through donations to National Jewish Health. National Jewish Health is known worldwide for the treatment of patients with respiratory, cardiac, immune and related disorders, and for groundbreaking medical research.
